Current Job Opening: Chef and Director of Recipe Development and Research
Job Duties:
- Solely responsible for the research, creation, development, and innovation of signature, authentic Chinese and Sichuan dishes and recipes for the restaurant and other locations.
- Train and instruct chefs/apprentices on every step of the culinary process for traditional and new Sichuan and Chinese cuisine.
- Identify and manage the quality, quantity, and sourcing of raw materials.
- Supervise and lead the recipe development and culinary operations of this restaurant and other restaurant locations.
- Supervise and back-up all kitchen personnel in daily work duties and manage all work-related issues in the kitchen.
- Represent the business in marketing and media campaigns to promote and share Chinese and Sichuan cuisine.
- Participate in measuring, preparing, and cooking Chinese and Sichuan dishes according to food safety standards and our restaurant’s standards and recipes, and ensure excellent quality of meals.
Minimum Requirements: Will be required to supervise 15 employees. 24-months’ experience as chef of Sze Chuan food required. Full time position.
